Thanks to generous contributions from the San Diego Foundation and the County of San Diego, the Watershed Explorers Program was able to acquire two 15-passenger vans to transport explorers to the sites visited by the program. When these vans are not being used for the Watershed Explorers Program, they are available for use by other non-profits or public entities that desire to use them for public benefit and educational purposes.

The vans are owned and maintained by the San Dieguito River Park Joint Powers Authority (JPA) and are housed at the River Park’s headquarters in Escondido. Use of the vans by outside entities is subject to availability and approval by the River Park JPA.

If you are interested in borrowing one or both of the vans for your educational event(s), please contact the River Park JPA directly (see contact information below).

***Please note - you must provide at least 30 days of advance notice when requesting use of the vans!

Any non-profit or public entity borrowing the vans for public benefit or educational purposes must sign the River Park’s Van Usage Agreement (see link below). Van borrowers are required to adhere to the terms and conditions set forth in the agreement regarding, but not limited to, the following:

• Insurance

• Notice

• Class B Drivers
